Kinetic and isotherm studies for nickel ions’ biosorption by jute fabrics

چکیده

Raw jute fabric was chemically modified with 1 % NaOH for 30 min, 17.5 5 min or 0.7 NaClO2 and 60 to study the influence of changes in chemical composition fabrics quantity carboxyl groups on biosorption capacity nickel ions. The effects contact time initial concentration ions were also investigated. obtained results revealed that can be explained by pseudo-second- order kinetic model, while experimental isotherm data fit better Langmuir model. calculated ratios between maximal (6.30?12.06 mg g-1) group indicated approximately half fabrics? would involved binding during biosorption. Therefore, used predict toward In case oxidized fabrics, lignin removal, consequently increased content cellulose hemicelluloses, contributed a higher capacity.
